5 Things You Can Do to Get Sexy Back

Ever have a day when you feel like sexy is just not a part of your vocabulary? Mommy is. Driver is. Maid is but not sexy? Well, here are the cliffnotes on 5 ways to get sexy back in the mix today:

1) Wear heels. Red is the sexiest color but whatever you've got, as long as they're high heels, you can walk in them, and they lift your rear end up and show off your calves, put those babies on! You have no idea the power that comes with walking around in high heels, even if it's just in your kitchen. In fact, put on an apron and feel like a french maid and strut your stuff in that kitchen!

2) Get adequate sleep. NO ONE feels sexy on no sleep. To feel maximally sexy, get some rest and wake up with your best sexy quotient in place.

3) Grow your hair, cut your hair but DO THE DAMN THING! Doing your hair will make you feel automatically sexy. The more "just out of bed" and wild it looks, the sexier you'll feel. No matter what the length, do your hair like you're going to a night out on the town. You'll see what happens!

4) Do something sensuous; take a bubble bath with candles all around; lather yourself up with sweet smelling creams; shave your legs! Whatever makes you feel sensuous and womanly, do it!

5) Get to the gym. There's no doubt that if you have extra weight on you that you don't want, that's an issue. Eat healthy and work out and make getting those pounds off a priority. The sexier you feel is the sexier you'll be and if that means going down a size or 2, do what you need to do to make that happen.

Sexy Is as Sexy Does

I was in Starbucks having my second coffee of the day and, before you know it, I'm having a conversation with a woman (in her early to mid 40s) about the weekend. She starts talking about her husband and how they used to do so much together, how she can't get him to do things with her anymore and out comes those dreaded words, "We have no sex life." Now, by nature, I'm a bit of a prude but I'm also a coach so I'm used to attracting people who need someone to listen to them. The convo continued to spiral into how she feels old, unattractive and misses the way things used to be. Finally, I stop her and say "Sexy is as sexy does." She looked at me as if no one had ever said that before and then goes on to tell me all the reasons why she hasn't been able to get her needs met. Again I stop her and say, "Sexy is as sexy does." She says "I know but-" and I said, "No butts. You can put on Victoria's Secret, pull out a whip, and put your legs over your head all day long but if you don't feel sexy doing it, it won't work. To be sexy, you've got to feel sexy and the only person who's responsible for making you feel sexy is you." I then went on to tell her about the 10 Day Power Up Program and how it can have a huge impact on her life and relationships, gave her my card, and she said she'd go to the website. I don't know if she will but it was a reaffirming of a major life lesson.
